Warning

Participation in leisure activities can be dangerous and despite the organisers taking all reasonable precautions, unavoidable accidents can happen. Therefore you are present entirely at your own risk. All days are subject to weather conditions and vehicle availability. Tank Mania has the right to remove any participant from the event if deemed necessary by the organiser.

All vehicles, Conditions of use.

1 No participation whilst under the influence of ALCOHOL or DRUGS.

2 You are required to notify Tank Leisure of any relevant medical conditions that might affect your ability to participate, or be affected by participating in this activity. Customers who have pre-existing medical condition(s), participate at their own risk.

3.1 Only approach the vehicle when instructed to do so by the instructor.
3.2 Facing the vehicle at all times use the steps and hand rails provided to mount and dismount the the vehicle.
3.3 To get into the drivers compartment stand facing the turret holding on to the barrel and or smoke discharger and step down onto the drivers seat. If you are unable to step down this far, sit down on the side of the drivers hatch and place your feet onto the drivers seat. When you are stood on the seat turn around to face the front of the vehicle then holding on to the sides of the drivers hatch lower your self down into the drivers seat.
3.4 DO NOT JUMP down into the drivers compartment or jump off the any vehicle when dismounting as PERSONAL INJURY may occur.
3.5 Should you need any assistance your instructor is there to help you.
3.6 Ignoring instruction(s) given by an instructor, driving anywhere not specified by the instructor and adverse manoeuvres are strictly prohibited, as they compromise your own SAFETY and the safety of others.
3.7 Children MUST BE SUPERVISED at all times by a responsible adult.

4 If an instructor feels you are unable to PARTICIPATE SAFELY in this activity Tank Leisure reserves the right to WITHDRAW you from this activity, on the grounds of your own safety and the safety of others. In this circumstance you are not entitled to a refund.

5 If you suffer any personal injury during this activity you must report the incident to a member of staff, so the details can be recorded in the accident book.

6 You should dress appropriately, and must expect to get dirty, muddy etc Tank Leisure accepts no liability for any personal loss or damage as you participate at your own risk.

7 If participating in driving the BRDM2 around town, you need to provide proof of driving i.e. your UK green license, your Photo ID card, and a valid car insurrance certificate. Third party insurrance is not allowed you must be fully comprehensive. We do not allow any new drivers to participate in this event. You must have at least 18 months driving experiance. If you have any points or convictions you will not be able to participate in this event.      

8 If you are unable or do not wish to accept these conditions of use, DO NOT PARTICIPATE in this activity and speak to a member of staff.

Indemnity

All activities involves driving or being carried over rough terrain in military vehicles as such people in vehicles may be throw or banged around against hard metal surfaces these have not been padded to preserve the military effect. Some of our vehicles are padded, but only for road use. Dust and stones will be thrown up. Some element of protection is provided by the clothing, headgear and equipment supplied .You are urged at all times to use the clothing and equipment provided to minimise any risk. It will not protect against all risk and you undertake when doing any activity and to accept that risk. If you do not understand fully the risk ask a member of staff to explain it to you. If you still have doubts then please ask for a full refund of money and do not participate on a ride. Failure to wear correct equipment supplied will increasing the level of risk if you don’t wear the equipment provided you accept a higher level of risk. You must listen to all staff instructions.

Even spectators have some risk and by remaining on site you accept that.

At all times on site you must follow all instructions given by staff. If you are not sure what to do please ask. While in vehicles you should remain seated at all times. If you select to stand you must realise this will increase the element of risk to health. Do not approach any moving or about to move vehicle. Stay within spectator areas at all times unless accompanied by a member staff. If driving a vehicle and uncertain on anything stop it and ask.

If you have any health problems at all you must inform us and sign to say what they are.

Except as provided otherwise by law I will indemnify Tank Leisure and its staff against any liability for damage to me or my party and any children or pets under my control and I, the children or pets can not claim unless the damage was cause through legal negligence resulting in death or bodily injury over and above that accepted by the participation in the normal activity.
